Since their first trip to Stumm im Zillertal back in December 2004, the girls (Lianne and her best friend Mary) traveled to Tyrol for numerous times. Their recent girls-only vacation took place from Sep 30 to Oct 4, 2005. And as always they stayed at the Gästehaus Eberharter, where they have already made friends with the family.

The highlight of this trip was the traditional "Almabtrieb" - the cattle’s return to the valley - in Mayrhofen. For centuries the "Almabtrieb" has been celebrated as an integral part of the rural tradition. This traditional festival sees the cattle who have been feeding on the lush green alpine pastures return down the mountain for the winter. The cows are covered in elaborate flower displays and many local people in traditional costumes make this a marvelous and colorful spectacle for visitors and locals alike.
